By accessing our website or submitting a membership or certification badge application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site. These Terms apply to all visitors, applicants, members, and others who access or use the services of the AI and Education Quality Standards Board ("AEQSB"), a subsidiary of the North Pacific Education Group.

AEQSB provides an independent standards and certification framework for the ethical deployment of artificial intelligence tools within educational institutions and corporate training environments. Our services include: - Membership registration and annual audit enrollment. - Institutional certification badge assessments (ITB, OPB, CIB, CCB). - A publicly accessible Verification Registry. - Access to a Member Portal for managing certifications and organizational data. - Publication of guidance, news, and policy documents.

Membership in AEQSB is open to qualified institutions and organizations that meet the eligibility criteria defined in our Membership Framework. By applying for membership, you represent and warrant that: - The information submitted in your application is accurate, complete, and not misleading. - You have the authority to bind your organization to these Terms and to the AEQSB Membership Agreement. - Your organization will comply with the AEQSB Standards and any audit requirements during the membership period. - Annual membership fees will be paid in full and on time in accordance with the selected tier. AEQSB reserves the right to accept, defer, or reject any membership application at its sole discretion.

Certification badge applications (ITB, OPB, CIB, CCB) are subject to a review process conducted by AEQSB-appointed inspectors. By submitting a badge application, you acknowledge that: - Supporting documentation must be accurate and current at the time of submission. - AEQSB may request additional information or clarification at any stage of review. - Badge approval is not guaranteed and is subject to the findings of the inspection process. - Approved badges are subject to annual renewal and may be revoked for non-compliance. - Processing fees, where applicable, are non-refundable once a review has commenced.

Access to the AEQSB Member Portal is restricted to authorized representatives of active member organizations. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify AEQSB immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. AEQSB reserves the right to suspend or terminate portal access for violations of these Terms or the AEQSB Standards.

The AEQSB Verification Registry is a public record of member organizations and their active certifications. By becoming a member, you consent to the publication of your organization's name, AEQSB ID, membership tier, and certification status in the Registry. You may request the removal of your listing upon termination of membership, subject to legal and regulatory retention obligations.

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, icons, and digital assets, is the property of AEQSB or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. AEQSB certification badges and marks may only be used by approved members in accordance with AEQSB's badge usage guidelines. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of AEQSB marks or content is strictly prohibited.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AEQSB and the North Pacific Education Group shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, our services or website. Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the membership fees paid by your organization in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

AEQSB provides its website and services on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Certification and membership status determinations reflect our assessment at the time of review and do not constitute a legal opinion or guarantee of regulatory compliance.

AEQSB may suspend or terminate your membership, portal access, or any certification badge at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms, the AEQSB Standards, or is otherwise harmful to AEQSB, its members, or the public. Upon termination, your right to use the Member Portal and display AEQSB marks will immediately cease.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in British Columbia, Canada.

AEQSB reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes via email or a prominent notice on our website. Your continued use of our services following such notice constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
